• Some of the apps in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s list include Tencent News, Tencent Music, and Alibaba-backed UC Browser.
• Operators of the apps were ordered to rectify their user data collection practices within five days.
• The development follows China’s implementation of the new Personal Information Protection Law, which came into effect on November 1.

Geely’s Zeekr hires ex-Huawei autonomous driving exec

• Chen Qi previously served as the head of Huawei’s autonomous driving research and development department.
• Qi will serve as the vice president of autonomous driving at Zeekr, a pure electric vehicle company under auto major Geely.
• In April, Zeekr released its first mass production model, and the company announced on November 1 that it had delivered 199 vehicles in its first week of sale.

Alibaba readies for lifestyle department reshuffle

• Yu Yongfu, the new CEO of Alibaba’s local life arm, is planning to reorganize the sector into 10 business units.
• The department currently houses travel service Fliggy, delivery platform Ele.me, and map app AutoNavi.
