AC Ventures, an Indonesia-based VC firm, has successfully closed its fifth fund after raising a total of US$210 million, which includes capital for co-investment funds.
ACV Fund V is backed by global limited partners, half of which are returning investors. Key backers include the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation as well as financial institutions from the US, the Middle East, and North Asia.
“With ACV Fund V, we are not just investing in companies with significant financial upside, but in a future where economic success and societal impact go hand in hand,” said AC Ventures founder and managing partner Adrian Li in a statement. “Our focus on financial returns and sustainability is not only a reflection of what is trending in the market.”
In addition to investments, AC Ventures offers other forms of support for its portfolio companies, including business development, strategic partnerships, talent advisory, government relations, and financial planning.
The VC firm, which focuses on early-stage startups in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, currently manages over US$500 million in assets across five funds. It has invested in more than 120 startups in the region, including the likes of Xendit, Carsome, and KoinWorks.
One of AC Ventures’ more recent investments is in Koltiva, an Indonesian agritech firm increasing transparency in the farm-to-market process.
