“This funding has capacitated us to raise a significant amount for our future growth prospects,” said Teabox founder and CEO Kausshal Dugarr, adding that the company expects expansions in the near future.

Teabox recently opened an experience center at Bengaluru International Airport following the launch of its first experiential store at Mumbai International Airport in October 2018. The company said it plans to open three to five more in the next few months.

Since being founded in 2012, Teabox claims to have shipped more than 1 billion cups of tea, with customers in over 117 countries. Over the last few years, it has raised more than US$10 million from investors such as Accel, Jafco Asia, RB Investments, and DBS Bank.
