Razer’s VC arm backs SG coffee robotics firm’s $3m series A+ brew
Singapore-based Ross Digital, a robotics firm for food and beverage products, has raised S$4.2 million (around US$3 million) in a series A+ round led by Fraser and Neave (F&N). Real estate firm Frasers Property and zVentures, Razer’s venture arm, also participated in the fundraise.

Ross Digital creates robotic arms that serve coffee and cocktails. It has also developed an unmanned barista and can customize units that can serve different types of drinks.
In addition to its robotics products, the company also offers a digital platform called Ross Cloud that powers its mechanical baristas and provides a suite of digital restaurant solutions – including mobile app, point-of-sale, and ordering kiosk solutions.
Currently, Ross Digital has at least 15 units deployed in Singapore and China and has its sights set on putting out 40 robotic arms in the market by the end of 2022. It counts Razer, CNBC, and Alibaba Group as some of its clients.
Founded in 2017 by Gavin Pathross, the company will use its fresh funds for product improvement and expansion into Thailand and Malaysia. It will also team up with F&N for product distribution in Southeast Asia.
