WeWork Labs, the startup program of co-working company WeWork, has partnered Thailand’s National Innovation Agency (NIA), food producer Thai Union Group, and Mahidol University’s Faculty of Science to build the first global foodtech incubator and accelerator in Thailand.

The Space-F program will offer two tracks: an incubator for early-stage startups set to run for up to 15 months and an accelerator for growth-stage startups that would run for three to eight months.
Startups operating in the following areas are eligible to apply:
- Health and wellness
- Alternative proteins
- Smart manufacturing
- Packaging solutions
- Novel food and ingredients
- Biomaterials and chemicals
- Restaurant tech
- Food safety and quality
- Smart food services
Applications for the program will be accepted until July 31.
Space-F will be located at Mahidol University’s Faculty of Science, which will give participating startups access to a lab as well as high-tech machinery and instrumentation. WeWork Labs will also connect them with local and global mentors. Participants will also have opportunities to meet with investors, including Thai Union Group and other venture capital firms.
The program will help startups expand overseas as it leverages WeWork Labs’ network of global workspaces, Thai Union Group’s connections, and NIA’s program that promotes startups abroad.
