Founded in 2013, ShopperBoard’s app hosts more than 70 local brands in Singapore. It mainly caters to “young and savvy female shoppers aged 18 to 44,” said its co-founder Khur Boon Kgim.
Hashmeta intends to operate the ShopperBoard platform by investing in research and development, with a plan to integrate content from its influencer network platform StarNgage into ShopperBoard. According to Hashmeta, influencer content and “shop by influencer workflow” will be among the top priorities for the combined engineering team.
“The vision for this transaction is simple: double down on things that provide the most value to our customers – technology and service,” said Hashmeta founder and CEO Terrence Ngu.
In addition, a team of five employees from Hashmeta will be joining the ShopperBoard team.
Since starting in June 2012, Hashmeta has provided digital marketing services for clients such as Ferrari, Coca-Cola, and Bytedance. It currently employs about 30 people in Singapore and 15 people in China, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
