Taiwan-based healthtech startup raises $1m in pre-series A round
Taiwan-based healthtech startup Iweecare bagged US$1 million in a pre-series A round led by Singaporeโs Verge HealthTech Fund.
Local venture capital firm Darwin Venture and US-based Translink Capital also participated in the round, according to a statement.

The startup plans to use the fresh funds to help is global expansion efforts.
In addition to the funding, Iweecare also said it received approval to market its flagship product, a stamp-sized thermometer called the Temp Pal, in both the EU and Taiwan.
The product can be connected to a mobile app to view real-time charts and smart alerts.
โTraditional thermometers rely on human behavior and efforts to test periodically, resulting in interruptions of quality of life and ambiguous health care decisions,โ said the companyโs CEO Glen Tseng. โOur company hope to address the issues with a friendly and comfortable solution.โ
Iweecare leverages Taiwanโs strong tech and healthcare industries to develop new healthtech products.
