Klook, a Hong Kong-headquartered travel experiences platform, has secured US$210 million in a round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Participants include BPEA EQT, Atinum Investment, Golden Vision Capital, and Bank of Ayudhya’s Krungsri Finnovate.

The round comes amid the travel industry’s post-pandemic recovery. Klook said that it achieved profitability for the first time this year, following a 3x increase in top-line growth compared to 2019.

The company also recorded an annualized gross booking value of US$3 billion in 2023.

“During the pandemic, we doubled down on our resources in merchant digitization and the expansion of our supply network, including car rentals and outdoor experiences,” said Ethan Lin, CEO and co-founder of Klook.

The firm will use the fresh funds for product innovation, scaling of social and digital marketing, and the integration of AI. It has partnered with Google Cloud to introduce generative AI capabilities such as automated translations, content generation, and a customer service chatbot.

Founded in 2014, Klook last raised capital in January 2021, securing US$200 million in a series E round led by Aspex Management.
