Taiwanese MOBA God of Destiny is coming to Steam in English

Between Dota 2, League of Legends, Heroes of the Storm, Heroes of Newerth, Strife, Smite, and more, it seems like there are probably enough English-languages MOBAs on the market. But the market is going to get one more, in the form of Taiwanese developer Wayi Entertainment’s God of Destiny, which has been greenlit on Steam.

(See: God of Destiny preview: how different is a MOBA from Taiwan?)

The game doesn’t have an official Steam release date yet, so at present it’s still only available in Chinese. But the game was greenlit in just six days, so it’s clear that the Steam community is interested in getting its hands on G.O.D.

The game itself is a fairly traditional MOBA, and in our preview of it, we found it feels a bit like League of Legends. But it definitely has some unique features, including a 10v10 mode, and the game’s heroes are all based on real Eastern and Western gods and mythological figures, which gives the game some crossover appeal. You can check out our quick preview of the gameplay below, or read a full run-down here.

The news that G.O.D. will be coming to the international gaming community in English comes just after news that the game will also be expanding into China, thanks to a partnership with Chinese publisher Perfect World.
