Singapore’s property scene is in a bit of a tizzy right now. Home prices are continuing to soar, following a trend that’s been holding for the past year or so, and rental prices are reaching all-time highs as well.
In an environment like this, sites like online property portal PropertyGuru are coming in clutch. Lots of folks are turning to these platforms to aid their search for a roof over their heads, leveraging the ability to narrow options down by location, price, and other factors to help make the process a little easier.
PropertyGuru has been around since 2007, and it recently made its stock market debut on the New York Stock Exchange in March this year. Here’s a look at how it’s been faring.

We’ve been getting lots of earnings reports in recent weeks from companies announcing their results for Q3 2022. Let’s take a look at how PropertyGuru has fared in the most recent quarter.
- The basics: PropertyGuru saw S$35 million in revenue, up from S$33 million in Q2 2022. Its expenses remained unchanged at S$41 million. Its EBITDA for Q3 2022 stood at S$6 million, though its net loss has widened to S$7.4 million.
- Moneymakers: Singapore remains PropertyGuru’s largest market, contributing 53% of the firm’s revenue for the year as of September 2022 and making up a big chunk of its EBITDA.
- Cold, hard cash: In terms of its cash position, the firm has S$340 million in cash and cash equivalents (for the first nine months of 2022). For reference, it had S$70 million in 2021.
