Hello readers,

Change is always scary. This is why I can be so stubborn when it comes to major decisions, like moving back into the city.

But more often than not, these changes are for the better, and I’ve been learning to embrace change more these days.

This was definitely the case of Love Bonito in 2023.

The Singapore-based fashion platform expanded into more markets in Southeast Asia during the year. This comes as most of its direct-to-consumer peers in Singapore have been sticking to Western audiences for expansion.

In 2024, Love Bonito continued to implement major changes, even hitting the refresh button on its brand and offerings.

But of course, some changes are hard to make. This became apparent when the company laid off 7% of its staff late last year.

Nevertheless, Love Bonito plans to march on and hit the coveted milestone of profitability by this year. Once it hits this goal – or if the company runs into knots and tangles along the way – we’ll be sure to let you know.
