Supply chain and logistics are a vital part of the trade industry in an archipelagic country like Indonesia, which is why many emerging startups are trying to make the processes more efficient.

One of them is Praktis, an end-to-end supply chain enabler that provides services to help direct-to-consumer brands in various areas such as raw material purchasing, production, fulfillment, and logistics.

It recently raised new capital in a funding round led by East Ventures. Praktis will use the investment to strengthen its services and ecosystem for D2C brands and suppliers, the firm said in a statement.

Funding details

  • Funding amount: US$20,000,000
  • Lead investors: East Ventures
  • Other investors: Triputra Group, SMDV
  • Stage: Series A

The company has also appointed Leonard Pontoh as its new CFO. Pontoh has over 12 years of experience in firms such as Zalora, Shopee, and Lazada.

Praktis reported 4x year-on-year revenue growth in 2022, while its growth from 2020 to 2021 shot up 12x.

The startup last raised funds in December 2021, securing pre-series A money from investors like East Ventures and Triputra Group.
