US-based fintech firm FIS has rolled out its Digital One Commercial platform in Asia Pacific, aiming to help banks manage services for business customers through a single platform.
Digital One Commercial enables banks to offer services such as payments, liquidity management, cash forecasting, and reporting. The platform is available on mobile and desktop, or integrated into partner fintech platforms.
FIS reports US$16 trillion in financial assets on its platforms as of 2025, with over 14,000 clients served across 150 countries.
The company says Digital One Commercial supports more than 75 payment rails across the region. One of Asia’s largest banks has already deployed the platform to serve more than 350,000 corporate customers, Amit Chopra, FIS’ head of Asia Pacific banking and payments, tells Tech in Asia.
Beyond digital banking, FIS also offers core banking, payments, issuing, and other capital markets solutions.
The launch comes as banks shift their investments from retail banking toward commercial and corporate banking, which FIS says has become one of the industry’s fastest-growing segments in Asia Pacific.
“Banks have been pretty aggressive in investing on the retail side of their business, but given the shift has happened toward commercial, they need to play a bit of a catch-up game to ensure that they are up to speed,” Chopra says.
He points out that the commercial banking landscape has changed amid increasing cross-border trade, with the sector growing between 7% and 10% annually. The executive adds that around 50% of global commercial banking revenue comes from Asia.
Chopra also notes that banks are moving beyond day-to-day operations to modernize their technology, processes, and customer experiences.
“[With] the kind of legacy system that the banks are sitting on, it’s only logical for them to look for a new solution to applications in this space,” he says.
