In brief: Bus aggregator Shuttl raises $7m from Sequoia, others
- Bus aggregator Shuttl has raised 499 million rupees (US$7.2 million) from Sequoia Capital India, Lightspeed India Partners, and Times Internet, according to filings with India’s Registrar of Companies.
- As of February, the app-based office bus service was clocking about 60,000 rides per day, 80% of which were in the Greater Delhi region.
- Shuttl, owned by Super Highway Labs, raised US$11 million in its series B round from Amazon India, Amazon Alexa Fund, and Dentsu Ventures in July last year.
- After piloting food delivery, groceries, and on-board meals last October, the startup is planning to scale up the offering by providing meals on 1,200 buses this year, mostly in Greater Delhi.
