Why we built SYNC

Update – 19 June: Updated speaker list.

Dear readers,

Through our events page, some of you might have learned that we’re working on SYNC together with our partner, AppWorks.

SYNC is a half-day, invitation-only summit for 100 highly curated decision-makers. It will happen on July 19 at Capella Singapore Sentosa, where the first Trump-Kim summit was held.

SYNC will be a private, off-the-record event so people can have more candid conversations. With 70% of SYNC focused on networking and discussions, it will offer a mix of open and structured interactions to catalyze opportunities.

We’ve also enlisted some of Asia’s best entrepreneurs and leaders to have a dialogue with us in an intimate, dialogue-focused environment. We’re honored to be hosting these key speakers at SYNC:

  • Forrest Li, Chairman and Group CEO, Sea
  • Abhinav Sinha, Global Chief Operating Officer, Oyo Rooms
  • Magnus Ekbom, Chief Strategy Officer, Lazada Group
  • Nick Nash, Co-founder & Managing Partner, Asia Partners

    Why SYNC

Tech in Asia’s mission is to build and serve the tech ecosystem in Asia. We believe that by bringing movers and shakers together at SYNC, we can create a valuable forum for connections and opportunities to accelerate the region’s growth.

As a founder, I’ve learned a lot through coffee chats with insightful and generous people who have been there and done that. And by organizing the SYNC summit, Tech in Asia hopes to offer the same experience for all participants of this exclusive event.
