  • Stock image library 123RF has acquired Sweden-based Pixlr for an undisclosed sum, it announced today. Pixlr is a cloud and mobile photo editor whose tools include the Pixlr-O-Matic photo editing app for iOS and Android. It was owned by 3D software maker Autodesk.
  • With this acquisition, Inmagine Group, 123RF’s parent company, wants to improve its digital photo editing and image creation capabilities. It also inches toward the 50 million active user mark.
  • Inmagine Group bootstrapped since its inception and has built an ecosystem of websites and services. Its next step is to go public in the near term to raise additional funding for its growth.
