Uena, an Indonesian food startup, has raised an undisclosed sum in a new funding round co-led by Trihill Capital and existing investor East Ventures.
Uena will use the fresh funds to expand its operations in Jakarta as the company looks to cater to a larger user base. By introducing new menu options, the firm also expects to see an increase in repeat orders.

Uena is building a network of online kitchens that can deliver meals directly to customers. The firm targets lower- and middle-income segments such as office workers, university students, convenience store employees, and couriers of food delivery apps.
Every kitchen serves an area within a radius of one to 1.5 kilometers, the company said. Uena also operates an in-house delivery service to minimize cost and time. As a result, orders are typically delivered within 15 minutes.
“Even though we have only been operating in less than one year, the mature stores are already breakeven and getting a healthy payback period,” Uena co-founder and CEO Alvin Arief said in a statement.
In September 2022, the firm secured an undisclosed amount of seed funding in a round led by East Ventures, with participation from IDN Media.
