Growth is certainly never linear. That’s become clear to me over the last couple of weeks. Across my various responsibilities, I’ve had to take one step forward, two steps back on many occasions.

That said, sometimes that’s what it takes to succeed.

There was a time, for example, when electric vehicles weren’t a thing at all – now, they’re leading funding roundup newsletters like this one. This progress is no doubt the fruit of many people’s labor in the field over the years.

Let’s dive into the biggest deals that recently took place.


The biggest deals by country

🇮🇳 Indian EV maker Euler Motors has received US$75 million in series D funding led by Hero MotoCorp, with participation from British International Investment.

🇸🇬 Singapore-based enterprise AI firm Whale has raised over US$60 million in its series C1 and C2 funding rounds. Investors include Temasek Holdings, Linear Capital, Bosch Ventures, Singtel Innov8, MDI Ventures, MTR Lab, and Gentree Fund.

🇭🇰 Phase Scientific, a biotechnology company based in Hong Kong, has closed a US$34 million series A round. The funding round was led by asset management firm Value Partners.

🇦🇪 Tarjama, an Arabic language technology company based in the United Arab Emirates, has secured US$15 million in a series A funding round. The investment was led by VC firm Global Ventures, with other international investors – such as Wamda Capital, TA Ventures, Phaze Capital, Golden Gate Ventures, and Endeavor Catalyst – participating.
