Launched in 2020, Lifepack is a digital pharmacy that aims to provide quality and affordable medicine for patients in Indonesia. Besides over-the-counter drugs and general supplements, the company also offers medication for chronic diseases.
The startup was co-founded by John Kwari and Natali Ardianto. Kwari, who serves as Lifepack’s chairman, previously established several pharmacy-related businesses in Canada. Meanwhile, Ardianto, the company’s CEO, is a co-founder of several Indonesian startups such as Pluang and Tiket.com.
Through its platform, Lifepack enables doctors to offer their services remotely while allowing patients to seek clinical consultation on demand. The company also has a customer service team of certified pharmacists who are able to provide expert advice to clients with chronic conditions.
With the new funding, Lifepack plans to build seven more warehouses in key metropolitan areas in Indonesia, adding to the two it currently has in Jakarta and Surabaya. These facilities provide a centralized location for the stocking, inventory, and distribution of medication across the country.
According to the company, the pharmacy industry in Indonesia is poised to reach US$20 billion in 2025. However, online pharmacy services make up only 3.5% of the total market.
