Aura Fat Projects is co-sponsored by financial services provider Aura Group and investment and venture firm Fat Projects, both of which are headquartered in Singapore.

Aura Fat Projects operates in Singapore, Australia, the Philippines, and Vietnam and has also set its sights on emerging tech firms in Southeast Asia and Australasia. The blank-check firm is specifically interested in Web3, blockchain, cryptocurrency, digital ledger, e-gaming, and fintech players, among others.

The announcement follows the rising number of SPAC deals in Southeast Asia. Recently, Vickers Vantage – the Nasdaq-listed SPAC of Singapore-based Vickers Venture Partners – merged with US-based pharmaceutical firm Scilex Holding Company.
