Apple iPhone 5S and 5C coming to China, Japan, and Singapore Sept. 20
At Apple’s press event in California, the company has confirmed what China Telecom already leaked: the company’s new iPhones are, for the first time ever, launching in China at the same time as the rest of the world. The company also announced a first in Japan, where the phones will launch on NTT Docomo for the first time ever.
We will, of course, be keeping an eye on the local press events in Japan and China later today and will keep you updated on any news that comes out of them. For what it’s worth, though, the fact that Apple specifically mentioned the NTT Docomo debut but did not mention China Mobile might be an indication that, if nothing else, the iPhone 5S will not be available on China’s largest mobile carrier when it launches on September 20.
