ApnaKlub, an India-based wholesale platform for fast-moving consumer goods, has raised US$10 million in a series A round from Tiger Global.

Founded in 2020, ApnaKlub connects small retailers such as kiranas – local stores in India’s second- and third-tier cities – with wholesalers on its platform. The firm also transports the goods to retailers. It currently has 5,000 wholesale partners, the company said in a statement.
ApnaKlub was established by Harvard Business School MBA holders Shruti and Manish Kumar, who is also a former executive of Walmart India. In August 2021, the startup raised US$4 million from Sequoia India’s Surge, Blume Ventures, Whiteboard Capital, and Flourish Ventures.

Using the fresh funding, ApnaKlub plans to build infrastructures in key states, develop its own credit product, and increase the number of wholesale partners to 20,000.
