Singapore-based Gush, which innovates sustainable paints and advanced building materials, raised roughly US$2.19 million in a pre-series A round from local property group City Developments Limited.

The startup plans to use the proceeds to conduct research and develop advanced building materials. It’s also looking to branch out to other verticals and to expand its team, according to a statement.
Ryan Lim, CEO and co-founder of Gush said that the investment would also extend the company’s reach in the region as its taps into the rise of green buildings, which has increased demand for “healthier indoor environments” and is driving the shift towards “environmentally friendly chemicals and materials.”
Founded in 2017, Gush is known for its flagship cair interior paint, a more sustainable and healthier solution. To date, the company’s paints have been used in more than 600 residential and 60 commercial projects in Singapore and the region.
