Flipter is a Hong Kong-based Q&A start-up. It focuses more on multiple choice answers — click and go — as compared to Quora, where answers are usually long-form. The service looks sleek, and submitting a question to the community is simple. While keeping the Q&A creation process simple, it also provides the flexibility to allow users to set the question to private or public, and also allows image uploads and text descriptions in the question and answers.
Plus, users are able to embed the questions on their own sites if needed. For more serious folks, you can also create a survey with a series of questions using Flipter. The product is far from complete, though. The founder of Flipter, Salvador de la Barrera, told us that Flipter has been incubated under the Chile Accelerator program (congrats!). His start-up is one of 154 start-ups selected out of 650 applications. Through this accelerator program, Flipter will receive US$40,000 of equity-free seed funding and will be able to leverage on the nation’s entrepreneur network. We hope Flipter can benefit from the program and let us know how it has (or has not) helped his start-up.
Other Asian budding start-ups accepted into the program include HelloWorldHQ (Singapore), Credii (India), Cruns (India) and Flvrd (Malaysia). Interestingly, Flipter is sort of the only representative from China so far.
