A Sneak Peek Into Two Future Indonesian Start-ups

When we’re talking about Indonesian start-ups, it seems like a never ending topic because so many of them are still growing. Some of them are meticulously planned while some others are just trying to mingle in the start-up crowd.

Here are two websites still in the very early stage of development: Myedisi and Debutmusik. I thought today I’d give you a bit of a preview, so you could learn a little about them.

Myedisi

This service is a new digital media publishing platform, built to be a social network for publishers. The look of Myedisi website is very simple and clean with only four magazine covers on its home page and three buttons: Home, Magazine, and Tabloid.

According to Rachman Ibrahim, the co-founder of the company, so far there are 15 magazines and three tabloids registered in Myedisi, and five of them have been actively publicized.

The website was first introduced to public on July 30 and still in the beta stage. But Rachman is quite optimistic that the final version of Myedisi can be released in Q4 2011:

There’s a possibility we’re building a similar service like WayangForce and Scoop, but with technology that is quite unique.

Debutmusik

DebutMusik

This is a free of music-sharing platform dedicated to independent musicians from every music genre. The look of the website is also very simple with only three buttons: Home, Latest, and The Best on its home page with a stream from its members.

There’s also a music player, a registration and login section on the right column of the home page.
