Rising SE Asian startups this week: AI, gyms, and more

1. ViSenze (Singapore)

ViSenze, an AI startup specializing in visual search tools for online shopping, raised a series C round. The company’s technology processes over 3 million image search queries a day. Revenue increased by 200 percent from 2017 to 2018. More info.

Investors: Led by Gobi Partners and Sonae IM

2. Sunday (Thailand)

Insurtech firm Sunday raised fresh funds in support of its goal to reinvent the insurance value chain using data and technology. It aims to be the leading full-stack insurtech in Southeast Asia. More info.

Investors: Led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India

3. Novosol (Singapore)

Novosol, a mobile advertising platform, raised series A funding from the company’s founder and a local family office. Its clients include L’Oreal, HSBC, Samsung, and Panasonic. More info.

Investors: Led by Minhaz Lokhandwala

4. SilverPush (Singapore)

AI-powered marketing platform SilverPush raised series B funding from a global tech marketing firm. The funds will help SilverPush further develop its AI technology and market Mirrors, its computer vision and ad contextualization product. More info.

5. SensorFlow (Singapore)

SensorFlow, a smart energy company that targets hotels, secured series A funding to expand its clientele. The startup provides a smart wireless IoT solution that monitors, analyzes, and automates hotel room environments. More info.
