A management services startup bagged funding today as did a platform for curating digital images. A home automation solutions provider also got a thumbs up from investors. Here are the five startups that made it to our list today.
NSPIRA
NSPIRA, a management services provider, has raised INR 4 billion (US$60 million) from global investors led by CX Partners Mezzanine Fund, the company said today.
The Hyderabad-based firm was launched in 2013. It provides end-to-end solutions, including staffing, training, content services, sales and marketing, and transport facilities.
The company plans to use the funds to expand to newer regions and sectors. “This will help us expand our reach to different geographies and bring institutions under our fold,” says Puneet Kothapa, director of NSPIRA.
NSPIRA has more than 11,000 employees with operations across eight states. Though its primary focus is educational institutions, NSPIRA also assists businesses. It is looking to add more revenue streams to enhance growth.
SIFTR
SIFTR Labs, a platform for curating digital images using machine learning, has snapped up US$150,000 in seed funding from Mumbai-based VentureCatalysts.
It was founded by Romil Mittal and Mayank Bhagya. SIFTR Labs wants to help photographers manage their work. “We are an image analysis company and are building our technology stack further to provide very advanced photo search for different use cases,” said Romil.
The company says it is getting good user traction with its first product – SIFTR Photo Websites, which creates self-updating photo websites.
VentureCatalysts is a seed investment and innovation platform. Vishal Maheshwari, Vikas Kapoor, Daud Ali, and Nitin Agarwal were some of the angel investors who led the funding.
“We believe that another digital revolution is imminent which shall be driven by advanced GPU and machine learning,” said Vishal. “The promising technology that SIFTR employs makes it well-poised for success in the time to come.”
