Swords of Fate

Swords of Fate is actually a rework of Conquest Age, which we reviewed last year. The basics of combat are essentially the same, but the game now looks quite a bit better than it used to. The original game’s upsides are still there—it is an incredibly deep RPG experience—and I still have the same complaints about the simplicity of the combat, but there’s still something fun about slashing up the enemies and monsters in Swords of Fate, even if that does only require tapping a few buttons.

Wartune: Hall of Heroes

If you’re looking for a turn-based mobile MMORPG with RTS-like city building elements, look no further: Wartune is here to satisfy your needs. If you’ve played other 2.5D MMOs you won’t find anything too surprising here: you choose a character class and then work your way through a fantasy-themed world, strengthening your home base and party for quests that’ll see you doing classing MMO stuff like killing monsters and getting sweet loot. Like many mobile RPGs, the combat is pretty simple, although you unlock new skills to unleash on your enemies as you progress. But the game is free and it’s incredibly deep, so if you’re looking for a pretty traditional MMO experience on mobile, Wartune is worth checking out.
