For new Twitter users like me, the toughest part of getting started is figuring out who to follow. Following the right people gives you access to thoughts and opinions that matter to you. Doing this the wrong or right way makes Twitter either a time-waster or a useful tool for gathering intelligence.

With that in mind, I’ve put together a list of the tweeters worth following to get insights into India’s tech and startup scene.

1. Pankaj Mishra (@pankajontech)

Not to be confused with the novelist of the same name, Mishra is an editor at India’s Economic Times and former TechCrunch contributor. He regularly tweets about the startup and ecommerce scene in India. Simple, crisp, easy to follow.

Prakash is the policy director at India’s Centre for Internet and Society, an organization to protect consumer and citizen rights on the web.
