14 Startups in Asia That Caught Our Eye

Momo (陌陌), the big winner this week!

Another week has passed in Tech in Asia and below is the list of startups which we have covered. We have quite a bit of Philippines-based startups covered this week (thanks to Raya!). This week also saw quite a number of startups receiving fundings. The spotlight is surely on Momo, a China-based startups who raised $40 million in its Series B round.

1. Ridefind | Philippines


Ridefind is a startup from the Philippines that wishes to ease traffic in the city by redefining carpooling service.


2. SundayToZ | Korea


Korean developer, SundayToZ, has been riding the wave of popularity of the chat app KakaoTalk in the country, which now has a Game Platform, pushing its Anipang game to the top of the Google Play free game chart this weekend.


3. DuniaFitnes | Indonesia


Indonesian Fitness portal DuniaFitnes.com offers free advice, articles, videos, and a forum on fitness, nutrition, and muscle-building matters, attracting more than 210,000 unique visitors and 1.3 million monthly page views.


4. Nana Music | Japan


Tokyo startup Nana Music this week introduced an iPhone app (currently only available in Japan) that allows users to sing, play songs, and collaborate with other users on their Nana platform.


5. Luxola | Singapore


Singapore-based cosmetic e-commerce startup, Luxola, announced that it has raised $590,000 from WaveMaker Labs this week.
