Here is a gorgeous infographic on the social media landscape in China, hat tip to CIC for the great work done. This infographic provides several key figures for businesses and digital marketers to understand the China’s social media landscape in statistical form. The culture and user behavior, like how Flemming had described it, is “complex and fragmented.”
“China has the most complex, fragmented, and developed social media landscape in the world with a unique online culture that requires its own specialized understanding,” said Sam Flemming, CIC Chairman and Founder.
The statistics, however, is based on 2010 data. It is good enough for a quick understanding. Just as an update, China now has 477 million Internet user and over 900 million mobile users. eMarketer also forecasted that China’s social network market will hit 488 million users by 2015.
