Dr. Luigi has been announced as a Wii U digital download launching December 31, 2013. The virus busting game will retail for $14.99.
Like Dr. Mario, Dr. Luigi is all about stamping out pesky viruses, except that Luigi will be doing it with ‘L’ shaped pills. Satoru Iwata said that the Operation L mode makes it tougher to get a game over. However hardcore gamers are compensated for that by choosing from three speed levels to make the game tougher.
There is also an online game mode in Dr. Luigi that will let you play classic Dr. Mario, and an option to play Virus Buster from Brain Age via the Wii U GamePad.
