In the next few weeks and months, you’ll be seeing a new form of content on Tech in Asia. Yep, we will be jumping into native advertising, which is essentially editorial content paid for by advertisers.
While there’s been plenty of talk lately about how native ads are a new thing in online journalism, the format has been around for a long time in the print media world, except that they’re called advertorials.
Some publications have attempted to disguise these ads as independent editorial content. We abhor that. Instead, we will clearly label sponsored content as such, and the label will appear right at the top of the article. We’ll also indicate clearly who sponsored the content.
The editorial team will also ensure that the native ads are interesting and relevant to you. We want to make sure that just because the articles are paid for doesn’t mean they’re unworthy of your time. Tech in Asia’s mission is to produce great content, whether they’re sponsored or not.
