Would you like a Techies arcana cosmetic, announcer pack, and HUD skin?

Techies, literally the most explosive Dota 2 hero, is not yet in the game, but that doesn’t stop him from getting some cool items. A recent Reddit post by Matthew “Cyborgmatt” Bailey revealed a Techies arcana cosmetic, announcer pack, and HUD skin among other things. Only the Techies Detonation HUD skin has images at the moment, but Cyborgmatt was able to share the following details about the arcana cosmetic:

Techies Arcana – “The Swine of the Sunken Galley”

The item is tagged as exalted and is equipped in his mount slot (instead of his default cart).

Arcana Effects

• Changes a number of his animations
• Base attack particle effect
• Loadout animation
• Remote Mines Detonate particle effect
• A custom ambient particle effect
• A fuse particle effect
• Remote Mine Planting particle effect
• A new Inscribed Gem that tracks Suicide Kills earned

The Techies Detonation HUD is currently in the Dota 2 workshop so vote for it if you want to see it in-game. Here’s what it looks like so far:

Now before you get too excited, please note that these things might not make it into the game. According to Cyborgmatt, “this is in an item schema update for the private Dota 2 beta client. Stuff on this list may not even make it into the normal client.”

What’s definitely getting into the game, on the other hand, is the hero Techies itself although there still hasn’t been a specific date for its release. Considering how it suddenly made an appearance at The International 2014’s All-Star match, it won’t be surprising if it just gets ported into the game in the next major update.
