The International 2014: schedules, pubstomps, and things that will make you wish you were there

It’s happening. It’s really happening. The International 2014(TI4) is more or less five days away and you know the hype is going up one more notch with Valve’s updated TI4 home page.

Let’s start with the games. What’s happening and when is it happening?

There isn’t a timetable for everything (yet?), but the first matches for each day will start at 9:00 AM PDT. That’s 12:00 midnight in GMT+8 so if you want to start adjusting your body clock, now would be great.

There are different ways to watch

This year, Valve is making sure they’re contributing to the different ways people can watch TI4 from the comfort of their own home (office? gym? restaurant? pub? car?).

Just like the previous Internationals, all in-game matches are viewable for free via the in-game client complete with commentary in different languages. Aside from that, we’re also getting a spoiler-free DVR broadcast, The International multicast, and a special broadcast for spectators who are new to Dota 2. And speaking of different ways, you can also watch with other fans in a pubstomp near you. Valve has set up a pubstomp page where you can find and join a pubstomp in your location or register a pubstomp that you are hosting. More details can be found here.
