Singapore: learn from master game artists at the State of the Art digital design festival this June

Game artists who have worked on Street Fighter, Dota, God of War, World of Warcraft, and Halo 4 will be present at the upcoming State of the Art (Start) event in Singapore. The digital design festival is organized by 3dsense Media School, and is the first of its kind in the region.

Stanley “Artgerm” Lau from Imaginary Friends Studio (Street Fighter III, Dota), Carlo Arellano from Super Evil Megacorp in the US (God of War, World of Warcraft), and Danny Janevski of Industrial Light & Magic (Halo 4) will be speaking at Start, so if you want to learn more from actual video game artists, this is your chance!

The three day festival also includes a conference, a marketplace, a digital painting challenge, and master classes. The festival website references game design, but is actually referring to Lau, Arellano, and Janevski’s works, not game development.

Start will run from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on June 26, 27, and 28. It will be held at The Star Performing Arts Centre, in the Star Gallery on level 3. Tickets start at S$299 ($238) for students. Find out more here!
