PREMIUM SUMMARY

The movers and shakers in Indonesia’s proptech scene

Proptech – the use of technology to solve challenges in the real estate sector – is a promising industry in Indonesia. The country is seeing rising demand for residential homes as more Indonesians are now able to afford them. Beyond that, real estate has also long been a popular investment instrument. So here’s Indonesia’s proptech industry in a nutshell.

  • The country’s largest proptech players… are related to Singapore-based companies: Rumah123 is under 99 Group, the parent company of Singapore’s 99.co, while Rumah.com and RumahDijual are both PropertyGuru subsidiaries.
  • Homegrown: In recent years, local startups such asJendela360 and Gradana have been making waves in the industry. Another big name in the country is Travelio, which raised US$18 million in a series B round co-led by Temasek subsidiary Pavilion Capital and China’s Gobi Partners.
