What’s new at Tech in Asia Jakarta 2015

Today, we opened our doors to welcome a record 4,185 attendees to Tech in Asia’s largest conference to date – Tech in Asia Jakarta 2015. In this fourth edition, we upped the buzz level by introducing several new highlights never seen before in any of our conference.

A bigger and better conference venue

This year we shifted our conference venue to Balai Kartini, situated in the heart of Jakarta, to accommodate a larger crowd and allow for a more dynamic event experience. We know tech conferences are about networking and the exchange of ideas, so we’ve catered for lots of meeting and breakout spaces.

With an all-star lineup of speakers at the Main Stage including Dr. Werner Vogels (CTO of Amazon), Alice Norin (co-founder and CCO of 8WOOD), Thomas Lembong (Indonesia’s minister of trade), Nadiem Makarim (CEO of Go-Jek), we wanted everyone to have a slice of the action happening at the Main Stage.

If you were unable to join us this year, here’s your chance to catch up on the happenings via our live streaming channel.

Running around from meetings to meetings, hearing insights from speakers at six different stages, practicing pitches to impress investors, corporates, and the media with the limited facetime you get with them – we know how time stretched tech conferences can be. We’ve been there and wanted to help keep your tummies satisfied at the same time for that extra energy boost you need.

With kebabs, tasty potatoes, tacos, and local delights available from the variety of food trucks and stalls, going hungry is the last thing our attendees will have to worry about here.

Too much noise and information about the conference going around across different channels? To keep things simple and convenient, the Tech in Asia team launched our own conference app for all our attendees to better manage their schedule, meetings, and keep track of the day’s agenda all in one place. Both iOS and Android versions are available.
