AI-driven mental health app backed by Google nets $5.5m in series A round
Wysa, a mental health tech startup based in India and the US, announced that it has raised US$5.5 million in its latest round of funding.

- Wysa plans to use the new funds to promote its AI-driven platform to employers who want to expand their mental health benefits. The startup is also looking to expand its sales team and therapist network by stepping up hiring.
- With the latest infusion, the company has raised close to US$9 million in funding so far.
- This year, Accenture rolled out Wysa to 500,000 employees across 53 countries including India.
- Wysa, which is based in Boston and Bengaluru, said that its platform has facilitated over 100 million conversations with more than 3 million users in over 65 countries.
- In June 2019, the startup raised roughly US$2 million in a pre-series A round led by Pi Ventures.
