Sequoia India leads career networking startup Apna’s $12.5m round

Indian professional networking platform Apna said it raised US$12.5 million in its latest round.

  • The investment round brings Apna’s total funds raised to US$20 million in the last six months, the company said.
  • Apna said it plans to use the funds to strengthen its presence in its existing markets, expand into new geographies, onboard talent, and bolster its engineering and product capabilities.
  • It also claims to have grown its network of grey- and blue-collar workers 50x over the last eight months with more than 6 million users and over 80,000 recruiters on its platform.
