What's inside The International 2014 Compendium?

Ladies and gentlemen, get aboard the hype train! Yes, The International 2014 (TI4) is drawing closer and if the invites weren’t enough to let that sink in then allow me to introduce you to this year’s The International Compendium.

The interactive Compendium was first introduced last year for The International 2013 (TI3), which helped raise the prize pool up to a record-breaking $2,874,380

Dubbed as the “next best thing to being there”, the Compendium is Valve’s way of allowing everyone in the community to be a part of the year’s biggest Dota 2 tournament. At its inception, the Compendium didn’t just give fans in-game rewards; it also allowed them to affect TI3 itself by deciding on the participants for the all-star match and most notably, increasing the tournament’s prize pool by $2.50 with every Compendium purchased for $9.99. In fact, TI3 currently holds the record for having the biggest prize pool ever for a single eSports event.

Here’s what you’re getting

Of course, it has always been a case of “this International being bigger than the last” and the Compendium for TI4 is no exception. For starters, we have almost double the number of stretch goals and double the target amount compared to last year. That’s 13 stretch goals and a target of $6,000,000 this year. We also see the return of the predictions, the Fantasy League, and the voting for the All-Star match participants.
