What’s big in Japan? Gundam, that’s what.

Last week Japan saw the release of five highly anticipated games that have taken over the top spots on this week’s charts. These new releases included Gundam Extreme Vs Full Boost, Diablo 3, Disgaea 4 Return, Amagami Ebikore, and Tournament of the Gods. You will also notice that all of these games are for either the PS3 or PS Vita which means Sony had a pretty good week.

The big winner this week was Gundam Extreme Vs Full Boost which sold over 266,000 copies in its first few days. The series has always been popular, but I have to think that the limited edition DLC played some part in its success.

Console sales have remained pretty stagnant this week, with no real sizable jump. Wonder if everyone is saving up for the February 22 release of the PS4. I know I would be.
