With the PlayStation 3 (PS3) seeing some popular titles making their debuts in Japan last week, it is little wonder that the console managed to topple the 3DS and take the top spots on this week’s sales chart.
Last week’s top six were all 3DS games, whereaas this week, the first, third, and fourth spots go to PS3 titles Sengoku Basara 4, Saints Row 4, and Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z respectively.
That doesn’t mean the 3DS had a poor showing last week, though. Among the 3DS games listed in the top ten alone, over 150,000 copies were sold. Not a bad showing for the handheld, but nothing compared to 157,000 copies sold of Sengoku Basara 4. It’s a shame that this hack and slash giant doesn’t have any plans for an international release. I’d like to see what all the fuss is about.
