Gears of War: Judgment (Xbox 360)

I have a new nerd in my life, a nerd who also has an affinity for machine-guns with chainsaws attached! So for the last few days we have been carving our way through the extreme mode of Gears of War: Judgment. Let me be clear, in almost all ways this game sucks. It has awful pacing, is ridiculously easy and every lever feels super short. But there’s something addictive about sharing a bloody rampage with a new comrade in arms. Whilst I can’t recommend you buy the new game, especially if you have any of the older, identical versions, I can say that Gears of War is still one of the best split-screen co-ops out there.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Shooters (iOS)
When I was a kid, I loved going to my grandpa’s billiards table and just rolling the balls into each other. I had no interest in the actual game, but I loved hearing the balls smack into each other and then go flying all over the table. The new JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Shooters lets me relive that feeling in its billiards like RPG battles.
