After being in public beta, 6.79 is now officially released for Warcraft 3 (WC3) DotA. Despite previous speculation, this patch gets an alternate reality game (ARG) that includes facing eight neutral creeps using thw WC3 Sasquatch model all of which are named Sun Wu Kong. These creeps are located at the lower right portion of the map. Judging by previous x.x9 WC3 DotA maps, we’re probably going to get a new hero of the same name in the near future.
If the name sounds familiar, it’s because Sun Wu Kong, also known as the Monkey King is a character from Chinese mythology and appears as the hero in the Chinese novel Journey to the West. Sun Wu Kong also appears as characters in Heroes of Newerth, League of Legends, and Smite.
