Toothsi, a dental care platform based in India, has raised US$20 million in a series B funding round led by Eight Roads Ventures, Think Investments, and the Mankekar Family Office.

Investors like Vishal Agrawal of BlackRock Asia, Livspace’s Ramakant Sharma, and Karan Singh of Bain & Company India, participated in the round. Siddharth Shah and Dharmil Sheth, co-founders of PharmEasy, chipped in as well.

Toothsi will use the fresh funds to develop its technology infrastructure, expand into new cities across the country, and bolster its team.

Founded in 2018 by orthodontists Arpi Mehta, Pravin Shetty, Manjul Jain, and Anirudh Kale, Toothsi is a direct-to-consumer dental brand that provides customers with access to teeth straightening services using clear 3D-printed aligners.

Toothsi said its revenues have grown by 200% over the last six months. The dental care firm claims its product price point is 60% lower than industry standards.

The Mumbai-headquartered company has also established partnerships with over 1,000 dental clinics across India and aims to serve more than 100,000 customers this year.

“Clear aligners have emerged as the preferred technology over traditional braces for smile correction, driven by strong adoption in the US and Europe,” the company said in a statement.
