The company has also announced the launch of its first brand, Morsel, which will focus on “culinary artistry,” supplying Singapore fine-dining establishments with Japanese umai quail early next year. For now, Morsel will only conduct private tastings.
Founded by George Peppou and Tim Noakesmith in 2019, Vow uses animal cells to create sustainable cultured meat. It does so through collecting cells, adding micronutrients, and “growing” the formula in a climate-controlled cultivator.
The fresh funding will be used to accelerate the firm’s growth.
The global cultured meat industry is set to reach US$319.8 million by 2028 at a compound annual growth rate of 10.2%.
Other investors in the round include:
- Square Peg
- Toyota Ventures
- Tenacious Ventures
- Grok Ventures
- PeakBridge VC
- Cavallo Ventures
