New version of Looloo app gives users special discounts

Venue finder app Looloo helps people to discover new and interesting spots in Metro Manila and around the Philippines. It gives options for people to discover new dining, entertainment, nightlife, health and beauty, as well as travel destinations.

The app has now updated with a new feature. The app now has a new ‘Specials’ feature where users can find promos and treats from partner establishments. Users can spot these specials by looking for the colorful cube icon in the reviews or explore tab, or by visiting their favorite place’s profile page .

Getting discounts

The promos take the form of discounts for food purchases, or freebies with a minimum purchase. To avail of the special, users will have to enter the redemption code that they can get from the restaurant or establishment, and then show the redeem page to the staff. The app will also show the length of the validity of the promo, so users can opt to save it for later.

Looloo’s new feature is in private beta at the moment and the team is working with a select group of businesses to test this it out. But Looloo users can already redeem specials from its partner merchants.

Wider scope

Earlier this year, the startup expanded the app’s list of restaurants outside Metro Manila. Peanut Dela Cruz of Looloo says the app now covers other Philippine cities like Cebu, Davao and Bacolod, among others. She adds:

Our Looloo community has been wonderful with helping us add places in cities outside of the metro. Not only do they help add and update new places around them, they also help us identify areas we need to focus on when we would map their respective cities.

LooLoo currently has over 20,000 places in its database. It has over 80,000 registered users so far.
