Venture debt firm Trifecta Capital closes its second fund at $140m

“Venture debt firm Trifecta Capital has raised US$140 million from domestic institutional investors, family offices, and the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) to close its second fund,” Entrackr reported.

Details:

  • Trifecta had set a target of 10 billion rupees (US$137.3 million), including a greenshoe option of 2.5 billion rupees (US$34.3 million).
  • The firm plans to launch its third venture debt fund with a size of 12 billion rupees to 15 billion rupees (US$164.8 million to US$206 million) in Q3 2021.

Context:

  • In March 2019, Trifecta announced the first close of its fund at 7.5 billion rupees (US$103 million).
  • It has backed fintech firm BharatPe and India-based retail tech firm Arzoo this year.
