Valve announces first generation Steam Machines, check 'em out!

I’ve been excited about the concept of Steam Machines pretty much since the day it was announced, and over the holiday, I moved my desktop downstairs and connected it to my TV and sound system so I could get a taste of the future myself. It’s not running Steam OS, of course, but Big Picture mode is enough that I can play a lot of games from the couch, and it’s great.

But Steam Machines are meant to be the full realization of this concept, and now, we know what the first-generation machines are going to look like (as well as what some of them are going to cost). Check ’em out!
